You might go looking for baseball players in 2025 Topps Baseball Series 1 and you might end up with something else.
Topps posted an interesting and, I think, fun card that collectors might discover when ripping packs.

You might remember Larry David was in a recent Bowman commercial. He resurrected his George Steinbrenner impersonation in the Bowman commercial featuring NFL Hall of Famer John Elway as a Yankees draft pick.
It was unlikely the relationship would end there and I’m glad it didn’t.
A Crossover That Works
I’ve been a fan of Larry David’s for years, even if parts of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm have been cringy. His crossover appeal doesn’t hurt Topps as there have been hundreds of comments across social when Topps highlighted the card.
But I think that’s the point.
I went to see Larry David on Broadway in 2015 when he starred in Fish in the Dark, which he also wrote. It was pretty cool because Rita Wilson and Rosie Perez were in the play as well.
For me, the draw was Larry David. If it wasn’t his play, I wouldn’t have gone to see it.
The Topps card will probably be popular when it comes out. There’s a reason sets like Allen & Ginter resonate with fans and it isn’t because of the baseball cards.
As Topps pushes more into the mainstream and gets attention from different outlets, there is going to be as much crossover as possible. You see that with the First Pitch cards that feature celebs throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before.
You will see that more and more with new sets, inserts and anything Topps can use.
In 2024, comedian Kevin Hart had little pics on some Phillies cards for a variation.
The Larry David card may not be a variation, but it continues a trend of celebrities leaving their mark on Topps flagship.
